Clopay garage doors played a prominent role in an exterior makeover of a Florida home on the A&E Network television series “Fix This Yard” that aired Saturday, May 18.
In the episode, a Florida couple is trying to sell their lakeside home but isn't getting any takers. Part of the reason is that the all white ranch looks more like an industrial warehouse than a home sweet home. Their realtor decides to call in home improvement experts and series hosts Amy Devers and Alan Luxmore to give this property some much needed curb appeal to bring buyers through the door.
The upgrade includes replacing the existing, mismatched garage doors with Clopay’s low-maintenance Canyon Ridge® Collection Ultra-Grain® Series steel carriage house doors. The homeowners saw the doors featured in This Old House magazine and thought the faux wood finish and design would add warmth and character to their home’s stucco exterior. Clopay dealer Metro Garage Door of Central Florida managed the installation.
The Canyon Ridge Collection Ultra-Grain Series features a durable, low-maintenance steel base door with an Ultra-Grain wood grain paint finish. Composite polymer overlays molded from Clear Cypress boards are attached to the surface to create the carriage house designs.
Unlike wood, this garage door is moisture resistant, so it won’t rot, warp, or crack. But it still offers the intricate grain patterns and textures you’d expect to find on real wood. It’s also insulated with Intellicore® for year-round comfort and energy savings. Fourteen designs with optional windows and decorative hardware are available in either a Medium or Walnut stain finish. For information about these garage doors, visit canyonridgeultragrain.
