Clopay’s Avante Collection aluminum and glass garage door was a key feature of a NASCAR themed garage makeover on the DIY Network television series “House Crashers.”
Now in it’s fifth season, and seen by more than 11 million television viewers quarterly, “House Crashers” is an ambush renovation show at its best. Series host and licensed contractor Josh Temple stalks a big box home improvement store looking for unsuspecting weekend warriors and then follows them home with a professional crew in tow to help turn a casual project into an eye-popping renovation.
In this episode, Temple and his team travelled to the hub of stock car racing, Charlotte, N.C., and with the help of NASCAR drivers, Kasey Kahne and Brad Sweet, transformed a typical garage into a racing-themed bar/lounge, complete with bamboo flooring, wet and dry bars, a custom 3-D wall treatment, access to a new backyard deck and awning, plus unique furniture made with car parts from Kahne's garage.
The 16’ x 7’ Avante Collection garage door with frosted glass panels added a sophisticated, high-tech feel to the entertainment space, allowing natural light in during the day while maintaining privacy. Clopay dealer RCS managed the installation.
